An exciting and challenging evening drumming workshop with Jim Donovan. The Rhythm Renewal 2 workshop is for people who have either taken Jim's workshops before or who have some prior knowledge of the djembe.
The evening consisted of challenging dexterity exercises to get your coordination more fine-tuned, we dug into new multi-part Brazilian and African songs with powerful breaks as well as lyrics, we discussed more in depth musical concepts such as integrating the breath with your phrases, and there was also be a great creation jam at the end of the experience.
The tempo of the workshop was quicker than Jim's other workshops, however the environment was still relaxed, friendly and positive.
