Beginner level herb course for 6 week duration on Thursday nights, beginning August 25t, from 7 to 9 p.m. Please Contact as soon as possible to secure a seat in the class. No experience needed; only requirement is a passion for increased desire in the field of herbs, and to have a journal for note taking. For a
6 week session the fee is $150. This pays for all supplies that are needed; Call (607) 348-0090 to secure your seat now.
Class Objective: In this class you will learn the basics in preparing & creating herbal teas, tinctures, salves, wines, and syrups for different medicinal purposes as well as for pleasure. You will become familiar with some of the many herbs that grow in our local area here in Broome/Tioga County, as well as the identification, harvesting, indications and functions of both dried and fresh herbs.
About Me: I have been working with herbs for most of my life. I also have been working in the healthcare setting for the past 12 years. I just completed my Nursing degree at SUNY Binghamton this year, as well as having worked as a paramedic for some time prior to that. My passion for herbs has traveled with me for my entire life. I am interested in sharing the valuable knowledge I have gained so that it does not become lost in the fast-paced modern society.
